I think the central message of the book is to not live in the past, learn from your mistakes and what people have given you before and take that to become a better person your self. Also learn that even when you love someone sometimes its best to just let go of them and ride your own wave while they sail away.

1. Gatsby is an averge man stuck in the past, in love with someone that he knows he can't get back no matter what he tries to do. He tried to hard to get her back and it costed him his life. 2. Nick is honest with himself and he hangs out with dishonest people to know what not to do. He respests them because opposites attract usually. 3. He means that Tom and Daisy don't care for others feelings and when they do something thats wrong they leave and let others pick up after the ruckes they made. I do agee with Fitzgerald. 4. I dont understand Daisy's behavoir its like she is a little kid still. I don't agree with her choices because you can't always run away from your problems. I wouldn't let her date anyone i knew. 5. What that means is that we constantly want what we can't have even if we can't understand it. It relates to the theme of the book because Gatsby can't have Daisy but he doesn't understand that.

1. Gatsby tells Nick that Daisy got to the window at 4 in the mornig 2. Nick suggests that Gatsby ought to go away. 3. Gatsby told Nick that he felt as if he were married to Daisy even though he is not 4. What happenes in Autum is the leaves fall off the trees because they die like Mrs. Wilson Its important because he hasn't swimmed in it. 5. The climax was that Gatsby was murdered in his pool by Mr. Wilson and then Mr. Wilson killed himself

1. Gatsby stops his parties becuase of rumors about him 2. Gatsby fires his staff because he didn't want poeple who gossip and the knew staff are rude 3. Gatsby was in shock to see Daisy's daughter. 4. The confrontation between Tom and Gatsby was direct and Gatsby told Tom that Daisy never loved him. 5. Mrs. Wilson got ran over ny Daisy on the way back to the island. 6. At the end of the chapter Tom and Daisy were talking again and what this tells me about Daisy's character is that she doesn't care about others feelings

There was a rumor about Gatsby living in a house that was a boat and it moved secretly and he changed his name at 17.  Gatsby ,Tom and Mr. Sloane don't like each other but they hang out with each other. Gatsby's expierence with Daisy at the party was awkward but he still thinks he can get Daisy because of his money

gatsby was pale and nervous when he was going to meet daisy. gatsby showed daisy cloths and she htought that she could have had that for 5 years if she was with gatsby.

2 girls thought gatsby was a german spy and a murdrer because they didnt know much about him and just filled in the blanks. On the way to west egg Gatsby gets nervous and asks Nick what he thinks of him

Ms.Wilson got slapped by Tom and was left wiht a broken nose because of Toms powerful hands. She got slapped for saying Daisy Toms wifes. Tom has no respect for anbody. He is greater than everybody in his world. In Gatsby's party jordan gets insulted by 2 girls and does the same to those girls but they walk away as she is talking. They end up sitting in a table togther and talk to one another as if they didn't get offended.

Toms girilfriend is married and she comes down the stairs tells her husband to go get some chairs and then she made plans with Tom and when the husband comes back they are all gone.

What happened in the dinner was that Tom got a phone call from a diffrent woman in New York . One of Toms problems is that he is rascist but he can be ignorant as well. He also has a different woman in New York. These people are not happy Daisy called her daughter a beautiiful little fool when she was born

Michael Velazquez- What is school for if the way of teaching hasn't changed over 100 years What got my attention from this was that the way teachers teach hasn't changed over 100 years. this was shocking to because I was told that at one point teachers were able to hit you if you didn't behave and know they don't do that. We have been using textbooks for 100 years and that's what I thought about the most.

The word HOPEPUNK is genuinely and really caring about something or standing up and fighting for what you believe in. Authors think this matters because they can cheat the system when writing, they don't always have to follow the rules when they wright a book because after all its their book and they can write it however they want to. It also makes an authors writing style unique and shows why they aren't like others.

Genre is similarities in a subject such as writing or music. The difference between Naturalism, Realism and Modernism is that each of these subjects portrays different meaning, not just what the word means but what it means to others. Some can think naturalism can be talking about nature and others will know that its the representation of accurate details.

The link I choose was celebrating the highest potentially of the human spirit. In this link Stein mentions that heroism will rise and fall like evil will but that it will never die. He also said that 2 forces must meet to make a man a man. What I got from this is that hope can never be lost even in times of despair and when everything is going wrong all we can do is look at positively.

ethos-has to do with the elements of the author or speaker that lets us know what they are speaking about pathos-enthusiasm that connects us emotionally logos-in service that makes sense or anything that is believe able

Literature is written words, creative thoughts, forms of expression, arts, letters and it lasts. Its a way of understanding someones imagination or thoughts of a subject.

 When I entered this class for the first time since last year I felt confident of taking this class for the second time. I thought that it was going to be fairly easy. Little did I know I was in for a treat. The class this year was different. My learning experience has been different every year, especially after taking your class least year i felt way more confident and responsible for my work ethic and time management.   That first day that I met you after our departure from the class last year was familiar to what you said last year. I expected that you were going to leave the class and give us the option of choosing the way we learn this year. I mentioned to my fellow class mates that its fun learning with open source but that's if your up to putting in the time an effort and the whole class choose open source learning. My experiences this year have been different because there has been more memorization that we have had to do since from last year and I feel like i h...

try not to studer, or stumble over my words have valueable information. dont say stuff, have an example have answer for the question with out thinking to much about it dont look around or smile to much/ laugh/or be nervous make sure i have the proper documents and have a signiture dont sag my pants pronounce evry word correctly dont look scared / dont have my eyes wonder around give a firm handshake dont hum to much or take to long to answer be honest dont trail off a sentence by saying oh yea or yea at the end of a sentence actually show up to my interview ask how is da is going give an example dont say cuz be loud
