LITETATURE ANALYSIS
The plot of Mice and Men is working to get enough money to buy a house with some land and no longer have to move around. The theme teaches a lesson of human existance. Most of the characters admit at one timeor another, to have profound a feeling of loneliness and isolation. All the characters have had a bad past and want to have a great future but it never will happen. To me the character that sounds the lonelinest is Candy the old man because he only has a dog left and later on the dog gets shot.
By the authors tone i think he wokes up early and goes to sleep late. He sounds like this because to write a book with spelling this complicated it must take a long time. For the author to stay up late he must have drank alot of caffine. He needed it to be up and have alot of energy. His excercise must have been yoga and going out for jogs to stay in shape and healthy. After a long day of writing his story i think the author would walk to the toilet with his eyes half closed hoping he had energy to keep going and get ahead of time. His breakfast would be eggs, bacon and a glass of orange juice. This would help him have good energy for the day. The author would have a nice daybut also stressful from the writing. When the author finished the novel he would be proud of his great work.
Something that helped me understand the book and helped me understand the story is when the characters finish talking the author says Candy said softy. The author tells us how the characters talk or there ton of voice. The author compares people or Candys dogs to other things. George compared Lennie to a bull by saying "he is as strong as a bull" witch to me sounds like a simile. The author also has the characters sound like they are from the 1900s and it also has the same form of speech. What helped me out the most was being able to search up questions I didn't understand.
What drew me to this book is that i read it last year and i loved it. It helped me understand on how peoples dreams wont allways come true no matter what you do. What kept me reading after the first ten pages was the way the author described the scenery. He made me imagine it as if i was their. My rading habbits, are reading non-stop and just getting distracted from the book easily.
