LET ME WALK YOU THROUGH THE PEDESTRAIN
Have you ever read the story of The Pedestrain? I will focus on 3 topics, and they are tone, character, and plot of the story. Bradbury went for a night walk and was stopped by an officer of the law. During those times it was weird to walk at night especially during the winter months.
The tone of this story was lonely, sad and emotional, in a way scary as well. It was lonely because he walked byhimself and saidhi to every house he walked by. He would see blue light flashing and after those lights he would see a gray figure watching/staring at the blueish lights. What he meant by the flashing lights was the television. The story was a bit scary for bradbury. when the officer stopped him bradbury was scared ,intimitated, and nervous like a normal person would feel. The officer asked bradbury many questions which he had answers for. At the end ofthe story bradbury was told to get in the police car andthe [olice car took bradbury to a hospital.
The second topic is character. I will first talk about the police car. the car drove its self, had no occupants in it. It could have had its own automatic weapon. The car communicated through a loud speaker. The most important aspect of the car was that it had no simpathy for humans and didn't understand humans, it only did what it was programmed to do. Bradbury is a lonely character. He is lonely because no one wanted him. He is afraid because of the officer mentioning to shoot if he didn't stop. He is aware of how technology took humans over and know they can't live with out it.
The final subject of the story is plot. The plot of this story is how the city and bradbury are lonely because of everyone using technology more. It is also about how he feels when he is approached by the police officer, and thats when the action rises in the story.
As you the reader and I the writer wrap up this essay together I would recomend that you read the story of The Pedestrian because it is worth the time to read and you can have your ideas like i had mine. You can also copmare your ideas of character, tone and plot, with mine.
